What a Full Wrap Covers
- All exterior body panels — hood, roof, doors (inside the door jamb on quality installs), front and rear quarters, fenders, bumpers
- Mirror caps — same color or contrasting accent
- Door handles — wrapped or color-matched
- Pillars — A, B, and C pillars
- Trim and accent pieces — chrome delete, badge delete, lower body panels
- Optional — door jambs, engine bay, trunk jambs (premium full wraps only)
Color Change vs. Printed Wraps
Color change wraps use solid-color cast vinyl. Available finishes:
- Gloss — standard glossy finish in 60+ colors
- Satin — semi-matte finish, popular on darker colors
- Matte — full matte, the “blacked out” look
- Metallic — subtle metal-flake finish
- Pearl / chameleon — color-shifting finishes (more expensive, harder to source)
- Carbon fiber — printed carbon texture, often used on hood and roof accents
- Chrome — high-end chrome vinyl (expensive, fragile, shorter service life)
Printed wraps use white vinyl with full-color printed graphics. Used for commercial fleet branding, custom artwork, photo wraps, and complex multi-color designs that aren’t available as solid color vinyl.
The Install Process
- Inspection & quote — vehicle walk-around, paint condition check, panel count, design discussion
- Prep — thorough wash and IPA wipe-down. Some vehicles need clay-bar or polish first to remove contamination the vinyl won’t adhere over.
- Panel disassembly — some panels (mirrors, badges, door handles, sometimes trim) come off for cleaner wraps
- Vinyl application — one panel at a time, dry application with heat tension relief. Inlaid panel transitions where vinyl is tucked into door edges and gaps.
- Post-cure — each panel heat-cured to set the adhesive and lock the conform-to-curves
- Edge sealing — critical edges (panel transitions, bumper corners) sealed to prevent lift
- Reassembly — panels and trim back on, final QC walk-around
Full wraps on a typical SUV or truck take 2–3 days. Sports cars with complex curves can take longer.
Wrap Maintenance
- Hand wash only — automatic car washes (especially brush types) damage wrap edges
- pH-neutral soap — avoid harsh detergents and degreasers
- Park in shade when possible — UV is what eventually fades all vinyls
- Pressure washing OK but with discipline — keep nozzle 12″+ away, fan tip, never aim at panel edges
- Bug splatter and tree sap — clean off within a day or two; can stain vinyl if left long
- Wax/sealant — use only vinyl-safe products (the regular auto wax cake will haze the vinyl)
Removal
Cast vinyl removes cleanly from factory paint with heat (heat gun or steamer) after years of service. We can remove an existing wrap and apply a new one in the same visit if you want a refresh.
How We Price Full Wraps
Price depends on vehicle size and complexity (sedans cheapest, full-size pickups and vans more, sports cars with complex curves more), vinyl tier (color change vs. printed, standard vs. specialty finish), and any prep/disassembly required. We give a written quote after seeing the vehicle. Here’s how our quotes work.
