Trailer Types We Wrap
- Open utility trailers — sides and tailgate get lettering and logo; full coverage limited by the open frame
- Enclosed cargo trailers — the big rolling billboard. Full wraps or partial wraps with logo + lettering on both sides and the rear
- Food and concession trailers — full wraps because the wrap IS your storefront. Menu boards, brand graphics, photos of food, social handles — all on the vinyl.
- Dump trailers — side lettering for dirt-work and gravel companies
- Goose-neck trailers — livestock haulers, equipment haulers
- Flatbed trailers — tongue and side rail lettering
- Race / car-hauler trailers — team graphics, sponsor logos
- Travel trailers and RVs — personal-use graphics, full color changes
Ag Equipment
- Tractors — cab lettering for farm operations
- Combines — logo placement on the side of the cab
- Sprayer trucks — full lettering for agricultural service operators
- Spreader trucks — co-op and feed company branding
- Cattle haulers — ranch brand lettering
Why Cast Vinyl Matters on Trailers
Trailers take abuse that passenger vehicles don’t:
- Highway debris — rock chips, gravel spray
- Stationary sun exposure — many trailers sit parked in full sun between jobs
- Hose-downs and pressure washing — cleaning happens harder than on passenger cars
- Road salt and weather — cargo trailers travel year-round
- Awkward washing — people use whatever cleaner is on hand
Cast vinyl handles all of this. Calendered vinyl (cheap intermediate stuff) will fail in 2–3 years on a working trailer. We use 3M and Avery cast on every trailer install.
Mounting Concerns
- Rivets and panel seams — we tuck vinyl around rivets and seal the perimeter
- Galvanized or painted aluminum — both common on cargo trailers; both wrap cleanly with proper prep
- Diamond-plate aluminum — doesn’t accept wrap on the textured surface; we wrap the smooth panels and edge-treat the diamond plate
- Wood-side trailers — not wrap-compatible; we letter directly with vinyl decals or recommend painted lettering
Pricing
Trailer wraps price by square footage of coverage, complexity of the design, vinyl tier, and access (open trailers vs. enclosed). Food trailer wraps cost more because they’re typically full coverage with intricate graphic design. We quote in writing after we see the trailer. Here’s how our quotes work.
